Beach wear perfect for the summer!

So I'm currently looking forward to going to the beach or to Sandringham, and don't worry there'll be lots of pictures! So I thought I'd best post some useful items and such up!
Debenhams
Weekend bag
£29.50
So first off is this gorgeous chic weekend bag by Floozie! The colours are so bright and summery I couldn't help fall in love with it when I saw it! It's also got  a really helpful across body strap which I like, because I find this sort of bag useful for my night course or something or as a bag for school. It's a very pretty bag!

I also really love this bikini, it goes super well with this bag and I think it might make boobs look a bit bigger too honestly! But the colour is sickly sweet which is great for the beach, and the top is so nice! Definitely perfect for laying around the beach in. Might actually get this one because it is so nice, the bottoms are just right too, if they had any detail on I think together it would all be too much but I think this bikini is great for attracting away from legs and tummy if that's a problem that you have like mee! River Island is also definitely the place to look for bikini's and cut out swimming costumes, they have lots unlike other places who for some reason have given up believing in summer!
£25.98, is what all of this all together costs which I don't think is too bad! They also do it in Yellow.

These cases by Accessorize are also great for the beach! They're hard cases and will stop your sunglasses getting broken, since for some reason all mine tend to get broken on the beach but these keep them nice and secure. It's only £6.00 too which makes it a great bargain! These sunglasses are also from Accessorize for only £14.00!

Brought a Car!

So as I may have blogged I passed my driving test in February! and once I have my little car I'll be able to take pictures at nicer places and then might manage to up-date this more often! that would be nice! So I've brought a red little Fiat Punto. It's very cute! I'm waiting for the Log book? which because of the royal wedding and bank holidays etc. they are saying won't be till 10th May!!! Ridiculous! But I've brought it anyhow, so this is a picture of what it should look like when I get it!
Now so far this has been a non-fashion post... but what shoes do you wear to drive in?! So I've been looking and found some cute little flats to put in the back of the car! These are only going to be cheap ones that will never leave the car! except to jump out for more petrol of course!
New Look
£15.99.
I thought these were really cute for summer! specially since they are easy to sling on and off! Though I'm not too sure on the pink edging, not really a pink person but at least my feet will stay cool! Everyone hates hot feet!
New Look
£8.99.
These soft pumps are really sweet! and the soft fabric should mean that they won't hurt the back of my feet. Sometimes they can be too strong at the back and hurt my little heels ):
There a bit nautical too which is quite nice!
H&M
£17.99
I love these! The beading at the front is so cool! Kinda native Indian styled. They look really comfy as well? Like you could put them on first time and they'd feel like you'd always had them. I think these wouldn't stay in the car long! They'd soon find themselves going out more than what they were meant to!
Topshop
£10.00
I've never worn a pair of these so I'm not sure entirely how suitable they'd be for driving. but I loved! the colour of these ones, such a fun colour! Quite cheap too.

Shopping

So I went shopping on Monday in Cambridge with my lovely boyfriend and friends and we saw Paul, I highly recommend this film! It was incredibly amusing and I loved it! I don't often like comedy's because they just mostly involve lots of swearing and blood and stupid plots that I find ridiculous, however Simon Pegg & Nick Frost are amazing and extremely good together! They are just one of those believable comedy duo's that without each other you wonder if they would be so funny! Also unlike most comedy's it isn't all straight forward it does have some nice neat little twists that may not leave you guessing but definitely make it far more interesting! This is a funny and witty comedy that hasn't stumbled by accident into the thriller section or the action section, it is Comedy and it is making it to the top of the Comedy high society! Here is the trailer as a little bit of a teaser! Trust me for a change they didn't put all the funny bits in the Trailer!
Anyway back to the Fashion side! I brought a few pieces, I must admit not all that much! But I still thought that I ought to show you, also these are a few pieces that I've brought recently and forgot to show!

These are the Camel Pleat Front Shorts from Topshop that are currently retailing at £34.00 and I swear they are worth the money, they look amazing on, the colour is beautiful, I can fit into their size 12 wonderfully, the fabric is to die for! and I can fit into the size 12... This did amaze me since I always think that Topshop has very small sizing and these were leaning to the too big side, I enjoyed the rest of my day knowing this! Women are such simple creatures really it's wonderful to be us!
I also brought the Navy peter pan collar tunic from New Look, it looks so sweet on and was less than £20.00 I did have my eye on a similar style in River Island but I couldn't honestly be that bothered about the colour and really did just want a dress in this style to wear to school so I just chose this one because I have a necklace that will go beautifully with the dress and can't wait to wear it tomorrow! The shoes were also from New Look and I just desperately needed new flats and so decided to buy them since I've noticed that there is a new trend coming in of stripes and such and so thought they would be appropriate and they are also practical which makes a change. I think my boyfriend was awfully impressed to be honest!

Anyone else had any great buys lately? Or found any really cute and different shops online, feel free to share!

And breathe...Plus, a look I've pulled from NewLook's website

Been forgetting to breathe lately, I'm running around like a headless chicken, the school's computer system has corrupted my memory stick so I've had to wait 3 days to get that fixed, so that's 3 days lost working! However we have PSE day on Wednesday and I'm under the impression that my fuming mother isn't going to go and let me meditate with the loudest Canadian in the world.
Popped into New Look Saturday though and found that they've got some lovely stuff in! I quite like the stuff they have in now and I so know where lots of my pay is going!
On another note, meeting the lovely boyfriend on the 21st (: Very excited!
Anyway back to Fashion... I thought I'd make you another I want type thing but this is a look I've just pulled from the website. New Look also have 10% off for NUS card holders, they did have 20% but I don't know if that is still on any more. Any opinions on the look and such? (: xoxox

Quick blog update

So before I pop off to lesson, I'm off jean shopping today since I've put a minor hole in my others and so can't wear them out really. I've also got 2 interviews tomorrow aswell so I might not update for a few days, but I just thought I'd let you know!
Also has anyone found any really good designers on the ASOS marketplace, that have low prices that could be higher that aren't? I really want some good stuff but I'm almost broke ): Don't you just hate that!

New Years Resolution(s)

So I've thought about this all day! I've decided on my 5! and the first one will be the hardest...
1) No shopping for 4!! months, till I'm 18!
2) Attend all my lessons!
3) Try to make more of my own clothes! I can only buy stuff so that I can make new clothes!
4) Worry about what people think less
5) Really focus on my fashion this year!

1 will be incredibly hard! But hopefully provided I pass my test in March, totally worth it! I'm getting really excited, and badly! want a car, so I'm hoping that if I just keep saving, then I'll get lots of money for my birthday and be able to afford a car!
2, I'm just gonna have to do! I want myself some A's, B's aren't any good to me!
3, this one is my enjoyment one! I've already got lots of projects in the work, but I'm just getting my interviews out the way first, so hopefully soon I'll have the time to start selling clothes on Etsy
4, worry less! Stress is bad for you and gives you wrinkles....
5) my second fun one?

What was everyone else's new years resolutions?!

Happy New year!

This picture is from Lookbook, but I love the train in the background,
that is 2010 leaving the station!
2010, was a bit sucky tbh! I learnt who my real friends were, which was beneficial but not all that enjoyable, and  generally did nothing memorable! So! 2011! I've lined up to be a great year!
The boyfriend moves to london in exactly 18 days now! Which means I'll soon have someone to do lots of nice things with i.e. go out to dinner, the cinema, shopping (:
I'll have my 2 interviews for university that are now beginning to get in really good shape and the dress has much improved since the last incident of creating 2 right side fronts...
I also have all summer to do exciting things! Like go to the beach, and to France with the boyfriend (:
I'll also turn 18 in April and can't wait to party in London with him (: I'll finally have someone to carry me home when I pass out and to make me coffee in bed in the morning!
I'm quite excited for this year, I worked today which was a rubbish start but it was a good day! I've lots of school work to do but it's getting more and more manageable, so that's looking up too!
I do love a good fresh start! I'm going to have a new colour put in my hair or something like that too on the 11th!
I've started cleaning out my wardrobe to make way for all my new clothes that I'll collect too! I'm just gonna have a massive spring clean I think later, that's the best idea I think, especially my jewellery draw, because I've lots that I was brought when I was 11, that I'm never ever going to wear now lol, less dolphin earrings turn into a really cool craze? nvm!
I hope everyone had a really good new years eve and haven't got too much of a hangover today! I'll post my resolutions tomorrow I think!

work at 8:30?! On a Sunday?!

I hate how society has become a machine to itself! We love our luxury! We love it when we don't have to work for it just the money to buy it. Ever thought how it got there?! When you go into a shop, how neatly is it laid out? Who picks the clothes up when some awful child throws them on the floor? Or fetches you're size, or does anything. Well it got there somehow. Everything got to where it is somehow, and for the most part it's because of somebody. So today take the time out just to say have a nice day, or something pleasant to someone. Because they will have worked hard to make it look like that. Like being up at 8:30 to get a store ready that doesn't open till 10 ><><
Also had lots of fun in Cambridge yesterday, only brought the jacket I showed you yesterday but had a really nice time except it being cold and VERY foggy!
Also the blogger thing is still old style, anyone know why?! Cause it's really bugging me cause it's putting all of my pictures at the top not in my text! Gahh!

Bad driving, Christmas Shopping and a need for a Tripod... oh and feeding?

For some reason, and I'm not sure why since my mother keeps a weirdly tidy house... all our mirrors are filthy! Why?! It's even odder because mine manage to all be clean. We also desperately need some good lighting! I was going to take some photo's outside, except I lacked something... my camera. So I clearly had an issue with this. By the way I'm now taking my photo's with my expensive camera, as I call it. But I think for the pictures to improve I need an a) interesting background, or at least a plain one or b) I need a tripod so that they aren't shakey... either I think would definitly increase the picture quality. Christmas is always around the corner though, so I'd better start my list!
The London Eye at Christmas, when it's snowed and all the trees
are lit up! how pretty is that?!
On the subject of Christmas, I went and collected my order, and now have the main part of my Christmas shopping done. How brilliant! My mother claims it to be FAR to early to start Christmas shopping... I strongly disagree! Saying that I'd have the Christmas Tree up in May if I had my way, I likely all the twinkly lights >< ^.^, but that might just be because I am a sad child. But it is all done, and I will take a picture, later and show you what I've got for everyone, since I do love sharing.
I also have an annoying boyfriend (Who I love very dearly) who I've still to buy for... he's a pain. Men always are, it's okay if they're you're father, they're related to you. Bad Christmas presents are expected like jumpers. *Wonders if said boyfriend needs a jumper?* So now I've to get him a really good Christmas gift, since I'm a little competitive. So any idea's would be GREATLY appreciated. *Said boyfriend may ask for stuff when he reads this later so as to SEO* But I doubt much will come of that either.
My driving instructor has also changed her car.
I DO NOT LIKE!! I insisted on moaning the entire hour, because the gear box is far higher up and it confuses me, I also keep putting it into 4th instead of 2nd and vice versa. It is also weird to pull off in. I'm far to used to the other car, and now plan on buying the same car that I learn in so that I don't have to get used to a 3rd car! I will never manage this. Also the bell just went, ooh! I wonder what it is! Sadly probably not anything interesting, which is a shame. I doubt it's a big present for me. Though if it is I love whoever the sender is, extremely dearly. It may be next door giving back the 2 springs, that flew over their fence 2 days ago while I was on the trampoline... I lose weight and now the springs start breaking? Our trampoline is impossible. Least I didn't kill anyone with them...
Oh yes, and I suppose I'd better show you what I wore! Christmas side tracks me awfully, one day you'll all log on to find I've gone Christmas mad, and written 4 posts in 5 minutes about it... Hopefully I'll keep my sanity, but do expect far too many Christmas pictures.
I wore my Topshop, Coco Chanel Quote top that I got in the sale for £10! and a Primark wrap around belt in light grey, my River Island £4 sale necklace that I got recently, my blazer, leggings and my high boots again. Although of course I wore flat shoes to drive in.
Oh and I also forgot to tell you on the front of having interviews with people that own their own hand made store or Vintage stores, I've found a few people and sent them the questions, so I'll post that up as I get replies back! There'll be links to there stores as well so you can have a little snoop for yourself!

IFB

I am incredibly proud, to announce that I have been accepted into IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) and am very happy about this. I have also gotten my UCAS back and have up-dated my personal statement, which I'll put on here for now for you all to have a nosey at. I have changed my final 5 to:
Westminster
Coventry
Southhampton
Falmouth
London art college aswell.
I'm getting quite excited and can't wait to get my offers back!
I've also been shopping! But I'll take photo's of that for you all later! but I' just thought I'd quickly let you know that I was accepted into IFB and that I'm very proud of this. Ooh and I've also ordered some white tops so that I can start my collection!!

Now here is my personal statement:
"I have chosen to do Fashion design as I enjoy designing clothing and would like to learn more about the technical side. I aspire to open my own label, and would like to use the knowledge and skills I will gain to do so. I have always been interested in fashion, from watching Ladies day at Ascot with my mother, to reading fashion magazines such as Vogue, Company, Elle etc. I have especially enjoyed going to cities and drawing new ideas from the people walking past and seeing creative ways of putting things together.
I like that the course has good underlying technical skills, which is an area that I want to gain more experience in. I have already begun to make efforts towards this by making little projects. Designing and construction skills are of particular value to me.
Living in the city has always appealed to me, as the diverse culture and people constantly provide fresh inspiration. I am also looking forward to participating in competitions. It would be good advertising if I started a label and I can gain feedback.
I'm currently studying art and photography and have tailored these subjects to make fashion the main component. A lot of designing is also involved, and compiling a portfolio has been an interesting challenge. I am resitting History and an Art module as I feel that I didn't do as well as I could have and so would like to improve my mark, as I was only a few marks off of the next grade for both.
I have also been very pro-active in art/design. I started art lessons when I was 7 and carried on every weekend for 6 years, studying different materials, styles and types of work which has significantly helped my sketching abilities. Business studies will also help, as it introduces to the fundamentals of starting up my own label, and has also helped me develop my research skills and means that I find it easier to source items.
I also have a personal/fashion blog (http://thecountrycitygirls.blogspot.com)which I update daily showing what I'm wearing daily and with other personal stuff on. I was also recently accepted into IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) which has helped me to connect with other Fashion Bloggers so that I can see more work and designs, and also gives me access to more opinions and fashion choices.
I also have done a night course for pattern cutting and dressmaking where we are taught to do seams, seam finishes, hems, zippers, godets, gathers, pleats, pattern cutting and construction and will be able to make our own skirt by the end of the course. I will also after this course be taking up the advanced and intermediate course as well to improve on my skills.
I also have an online store where I sell jewellery that I make and am also starting a range of T-shirts with motifs on and hope to develop the range and progress as I go. This gives me a forum in which I can sell the clothing I make and builds confidence in my work as well as a clientele base. It also offers a chance to see what sells well. The industry is hard to get into and competitive, which is a situation I feel I will do well in; I am driven and often described as a perfectionist.
In my free time I relax, shop and go to the cinema as well as holding a varied social life. Working at both JJB and Debenhams offers me a variety of experience working with the public, handling money and seeing different trends. I have gained good customer knowledge and developed my ability to perceive a customer's needs, which will aid me in custom designs, and would help me to know what they were looking for in competitions and create a design based on that.
Going to university will be a chance to find new influences and to socialise with a new and diverse group of people. I find it good motivation to be around people who think similarly to me, enabling us to learn from each other."

This is my new blouse that I brought and absolutely love! I'm gonna wear it tomorrow with my new grey straight jeans, so you'll get to see both my new things at once! How lovely! It was quite cheap too since it was already discounted and then I used my 20% staff discount! So I'm very pleased.
It was also lovely and sunny today so I thought I'd take a picture of it to remember a sunny day by since it's getting into winter and there won't be much more where that came from till Spring.
Also here is what I wore today, sorry the picture quality is so bad. I don't know why it's gone like that but it's awful! I really do not like it but I can't get it to look better no matter what I do, so I'm afraid I'm a bit stuck with it like that. On the upside I got my Benefit Lip primer, and my Clinique foundation primer that also reduces redness, so I'm quite pleased. I got everything I needed from town, and my friend, Miss Emma had a job interview and got the job which is excellent!
