Lots of work Done!

I need to learn to think of more interesting titles...
I've managed to do lot's of work thank goodness and here is the picture of my Design page so far for my interview at Falmouth. Please Excuse the weird colouring, the picture was taken in bad light, so I had to play with the contrast and that and this was the best I could get it. I've still not got a sample of the material that inspired me, but it was sort of a yellow and grey lumberjack style check, which I want to make into a feminine dress since the actual material I find the pattern to be a little masculine as is the idea of a lumberjack. I then wanted to add some punk rock chains as shown in the very top right, or some little antique gold studs just in the top section or some little grey sort of jewels as shown on the left. sort of Feminine Vs. Masculine, and a Rock sort of edge Vs. Glamour. I also concidered putting a grey lace over the skirt, but I think that would be far too feminine and ruin it a little, but I've yet to experiment. I also concidered de-constructing it a little, and using grey tulle underneath the skirt to give it some volume but to also leave some to stick out the bottom of the dress, like Alexander Mcqueen did on this yellow dress, since I really like the volume, and I think it looks, how it is swaying quite feminine, but I haven't decided yet. I'm definitely really fired up about this Project and have been finding idea's are coming to me far easier than what they were before. I also want to have it done by Christmas so that I can do some styling with the dress, to show the interviewers that the dress can be worn in lots of different ways, which will be great fun I think.
I also designed another dress yesterday but haven't really had a chance to finish it, so I might do that over the weekend but here it is so far. It's long and I want it to be quite floaty but slender, and I've taken out the back section and a section just over the collarbone, since I wanted something that wasn't very revealing but very subtly oozed sex appeal, so I took away the normal show of legs and cleavage and found a new part to show off, plus backs and collarbones tend to look quite slender. I really want to make this dress, but I think I'm going to need to have a long hard think about it and do it after January since I think it would be quite a task, a good one... but perhaps a little difficult for my skills as yet. I was hoping to do it in a dark red wine sort of color, but I may change it and use very floaty fabrics that are slightly see through maybe, and do it as a summer dress, with some pretty patterned light fabric... not decided yet.

Here's what I've been wearing lately, or that sort of thing... clearly I've not lived in the same outfit! So here are my new boots as well! The photo's don't want to go where I want them to so excuse the new layout...  It's also been snowing here as well! Admittedly in this picture it's more ice than snow... but there was lots of snow! That's all for now! (: xoxo

Rings! How-To

Rings are something that are easily warn, no fiddly clasps, or bits that tangle! You're fingers are almost always on display! So why should you're wrist that is covered by you're jumper get some jewelery when you're fingers are the ones on show! So let's learn how to run rings around those Fashionista's! (By the way all the pictures are linked so you can go buy! buy! buy! more easily! Cause we all know girls love to spend that cash)

Miss Selfridge - £6.00
Size! Falling off you're finger? Sweety it's far to big, try a different finger, my middle finger is my fattest, so if it falls off my pinky, it generally fits my middle finger. But if it's falling off you're thumb, maybe a present for someone you are obligated to give presents too who you don't like? You can have it resized, but if it cost you £3 in the sale it's probably not worth resizing.
There are lots of rings on the high street, so don't worry about getting sets or ones that you know you can match to something. Like it? BUY IT! You'll soon realize once you're playing about with them at home, that they actually match that really great top that's been sitting in you're closet cause you had no jewellery to give it that edge! Now you do! The stacked rings that you can buy are great, because you don't have to wear them together, so it's a little bit of investment!
Also don't be afraid to mix the colours up like they have with the Miss Selfridge Stacked rings! All different types, and occasionally styles look great together! Just remember, if you're wearing lots of rings, try not to wear lots of necklaces and other bits. Less is more sometimes!
There are so many ways to wear rings though! Here are just a few ways that you can wear them!
Like Suki M. from Switzerland (Lookbook.nu) you can wear just one per finger and can also vary the length of them like the one on her middle finger. Different styles and colours (like the gold one on her thumb) look great. These rings are really unique too! Try to buy unique ones from Car boot sales and other one off places such as thrift stores!

Bird on branch ring -
£6.00 from Dorothy Perkins

You can also wear all sorts of rings all over the place! Miss a finger if you want, and don't be afraid to adorn you're hands! The only limit is when they start to fall off the tips of you're fingers! (Jessica S. from lookbook.nu)

This one is like Jessica's, they are really cute and stand out well! The little birds  chest is beautiful! This ring is incredibly unique looking.

Feather Ring -£6.00 by Burton.
You could also follow Alexandra P. from Vigo's example and wear just one ring! It doesn't have to be as big but make sure it's pretty! People will notice rings so even if it's a little simple one like the one below, it will still serve you well!

(Excuse the massive space. Major! Layout problems occurred somehow)

I have borrowed this from the Swirl Girls (http://swirlgirls.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html) This is to show you how you can use stacking to you're advantage! This is quite cute and actually does look like one ring! So occasionally if done well you can make the perfect ring, just because you stacked, doesn't mean you have to do it on all you're fingers like lots of people do. The ones below are from Wallis and are another great example of stacked rings that can be mixed and matched.
Black Cocktail Stacked Rings- £18.50

QUICK! DRIVE! SCHOOL! HAIR! EAT! LEARN!

Quick Quick Quick! That is today's theme. Had to get up stupidly early cause I had a driving lesson at 8:30 and kept stalling, silly different car! and then I've had art, history and business today. Really annoyed about that, but I'll have to rant tomorrow. Because I've had a haircut, and now have less than an hour to go make dinner before I have to leave and go to my night course! But as a preview: WHAT A WASTE OF 2 YEARS! But, yes you'll here all about that tomorrow, and I'll put a quick picture up after dinner! oh and I'm also gonna have a how-to on how to wear rings, since lately I've gotten really into them!

And I'm back...

So I can't exactly remember when I updated this because it's me, and also cause I've been quite tired and a little ill, which I can't really afford to be. So I've got pictures of my art book to show you and I've what I wore today, though it's not very inventive cause I woke up late. Though I think I could currently sleep for days, but alas I've work tomorrow 9-6 and Sunday 10:30-4:30, which is a shame cause I do miss a good lie in.
But on the upside I've booked my driving theory for the 20th October, so I'm quite nervous about that and need to do some revision, as well as revision for everything else which is annoying. But least then that's out the way, and I'd better pass cause it cost me a bloody fortune.
But I'm also making a hat for my art class, but there'll be pictures of that up later cause it's really not finish yet... not really started either, but still! Positive is the key!
I've also had my night course on Monday which went amazingly! I absolutely love it, and definitely want to do it when I go to uni, I just need to improve my drawing skills which is a pain! But least now I know what I need to improve at and can just keep going and trying, I think I'll just print some pictures off and stick them in my book and keep trying from there. After all, practice does make perfect!  But anyway here's what I wore today, and also the pictures from my art book.

I also seriously need a day off! I'm so tired! I spent Monday working, which is a pain. I seriously need sleep which is a shame that I can't. I'm also meant to be booking my gym induction for Tuesday afternoon, and I'm meant to go swimming next week, but I might skip the gym induction since it's not booked and just go swimming, and wait for the induction till I get paid, since I'll hopefully get paid lots cause of being paid 2 months wages from Debenhams and 1 from JJB, which is good cause I've seen some expensive shoes that I LOVE! and have now decided I NEED! & I was gonna show you a picture of the shoes but of course I can't find it.

Ill, and apologies!

My apologies again for forgetting to do this, Saturday I worked then got farrr to drank, so sunday I was hungover and had work. Then monday I just did nothing apart from my night course which went excellent and I'll post up some pictures of my fashion design book since I've stuck my samples in there.
But today I feel awful, headache, sore throat and very tired. But I've done some work and I refuse to loose momentum so I've come home to work with coffee, water, and my darling laptop and a quiet room which will hopefully help, but I think I'll feel better once I've done lots of work and gotten back on top of it.
So later I'll post pictures of what I'm wearing today though I'm afraid not much effort went into it and I'll look more awful than normal. On the upside I ordered a nice dress from Asos, in the sale which was only £10! so I'm pleased about that if not now broke but it looks really sweet so I'm sure it'll be a good buy, I just need some shoes which is my major thing, so I'm gonna save up and go to london and see if I can't find any. Have though seen some nice ones in RI and Dorothy Perkins but I'm worried there too high for normal wear, but I may just get them and hope to be honest, cause I really am fed up of having no shoes! and they are gorgeous!

And the girl above is off of lookbook.nu and is Olivia L, but I thought she looked really good and that she looked like she was walking to school, although I am jealous of the fact she appears to have sun!

Had my hair dyed today, and went for a darker color, a bit red, than my normal ginger since a change seemed like a cheerful idea, specially after making the notes for the stupid homework that took me all day to do, and then when I came home it STILL took me 2 hours to write the essay, after ringing people up to find what they'd put.. Oh Russia how I hate you!
But today cause I got up late cause  had a lazy day, I've thrown on my H&M jumper and my primark belt (which I meant to tie looser but was far too tired to change from being tight ><) and my leggings and black flats since I don't have any black boots yet to wear with leggings or tights or anything. I really do need a pair but don't seem to be able to find any nice ones, which is a pain! I'm so picky with shoes it's daft! But I think I might treat myself to a pair I saw in Primark on Thursday, when I go into town to pick up my trousers that are dry clean only and I spilt my coffee down and to pick up my lip primer and foundation primer that I ordered from boots. Since I feel like I deserve a treat even if they are a little high, but I can walk in them... They're just not practical but who ever cared about that?
I also tomorrow have to send off my contract for Debenhams otherwise I'm going to miss the deadline, but they shouldn't make it so bloody hard and long winded! And I need to change my personal statement for my UCAS and look into Uni's still. I could also do with a really long sleep but I doubt I'll get that!
It's 22:14 and I've no intention of sleeping till I've done all my corrections for business, taken some photo's to put up with this post and till I've done a little bit of art, or at least moved it so I can get into bed, I might also tidy cause that's what I do when I'm annoyed... I tidy! Which is a productive idea I think.
I've also a driving lesson tomorrow, so hopefully that'll go well and I shan't crash or something! Oh and I'm also going to write now the morning quote, cause I never have the drive to do it in the morning, so I'm going to do it so I just need to sign in and then post it! Such brilliance!

Love!

So I had my night course and I love it!!! I've taken a picture of a seam I did... and did again, it looks quite cool I think! So I'll upload that along with the pictures of what I wore today, I must admit the top is from Primark so it is a little unforgiving so excuse the little podge lol, But the trousers are from RI as well of as the shoes. But back to the night course, we got in there and had a little bit of paperwork to do and then a chat about who we were etc. and we had to fill in sheets to state our aims etc. and then we got to the sewing machines and I love it! I managed to thread mine up and everything because I do sew a little at home but these were big machines! So yeah this is a little of what we did, and I'll keep you updated and keep posting stuff about it!
I also did a big A3x3 drawing today, that is as big as me! But I'll take a picture of that tomorrow and post it up so you can all see, it's just a fashion drawing that I did from another drawing that was in my art book out of a vogue book for my fine art.
It also drizzled most of the day which was awful, and tomorrow I'm having some of my hair dyed so there will also be a picture of that up tomorrow, and I'm going to try and get my better camera up and running and take some more interesting ones!

So here are the ones for the party I wore Saturday night, I did throw my green jumper on over it as well since it was pretty cold, I also need a new dress to go out in! This is my only one party dress! and my mum brought me some kingfisher? green tights that looked really nice with it too! I think they were from John Lewis but I'm not sure.

This is what I wore today because I got up farrrr to late! I need to start taking pictures in the day when the lighting is better! But the trousers are from RI and are really warm and just generally quite nice, I really want some loafers or Penny high heel loafer type shoes to go with them cause they would look adorable I think! and the top is Primark and the Jumper is a mens Red Herring one but it's really warm, thicker, and keeps the shape better than the ones in New Look! I also need to learn to smile better in Photographs, I apparently have a nice smile but it seems the second I know there's a camera I pull the stupidest smile I can.

This is the seams that I did from my night course that I'm so pleased with!
