Topshop Statement Dresses.Launches 14th April.

"High Octane", "Dress Up","Rock & Roll Cool", "Understated Glamour".

These words have to be a girl's most favourite! I've never heard them and not loved what they entailed. So when I saw this on Topshop's poster, I had to have a decent look. They were telling the truth. I will be investing in one of these pieces for my prom or something. I love them. They also launch a week after my birthday so I should hopefully have some spare cash to buy one with! If you want a dress that you can wear all year round for any unexpected parties you may have or up and coming events that you NEED to look hot for. I'm completely advising this line. They will be well made and beautiful.  

Also for anyone that really enjoys "Behind the Scenes" video's, here is one that came in the e-mail that I got about this. I do love these video's and this does seem to fit the picture that they are trying to give, "High octane fun". I love these promotional video's that companies do, they always look such fun to shoot! 

I Want Shoes! Always!

So it's my 18th birthday on 7th April and I've started looking for the birthday presents! So Here's another I want post! This one is decidedly biased to shoes, but we can't help what we love! Hope you enjoy. What's your favourite items? Any brands that you couldn't live without?!

A Look for under a £100.00 this month!

Okay so this is something I thought I could do monthly! Do give your opinions and such underneath! I really wanted to use the shorts that I brought, however I fear this may have to be re-done since I think it looks awful! I know what top I would have preferred and that would have been the Cream Tab Front Silk Shirt by Topshop  it was similar to that although I can't find it on the website so I may have to go buy it...

However here is the look feel free to give opinions and such please! Also do you like the idea of a monthly look for under £100.00? 

Shopping

So I went shopping on Monday in Cambridge with my lovely boyfriend and friends and we saw Paul, I highly recommend this film! It was incredibly amusing and I loved it! I don't often like comedy's because they just mostly involve lots of swearing and blood and stupid plots that I find ridiculous, however Simon Pegg & Nick Frost are amazing and extremely good together! They are just one of those believable comedy duo's that without each other you wonder if they would be so funny! Also unlike most comedy's it isn't all straight forward it does have some nice neat little twists that may not leave you guessing but definitely make it far more interesting! This is a funny and witty comedy that hasn't stumbled by accident into the thriller section or the action section, it is Comedy and it is making it to the top of the Comedy high society! Here is the trailer as a little bit of a teaser! Trust me for a change they didn't put all the funny bits in the Trailer!

Anyway back to the Fashion side! I brought a few pieces, I must admit not all that much! But I still thought that I ought to show you, also these are a few pieces that I've brought recently and forgot to show! 

These are the Camel Pleat Front Shorts from Topshop that are currently retailing at £34.00 and I swear they are worth the money, they look amazing on, the colour is beautiful, I can fit into their size 12 wonderfully, the fabric is to die for! and I can fit into the size 12... This did amaze me since I always think that Topshop has very small sizing and these were leaning to the too big side, I enjoyed the rest of my day knowing this! Women are such simple creatures really it's wonderful to be us!

I also brought the Navy peter pan collar tunic from New Look, it looks so sweet on and was less than £20.00 I did have my eye on a similar style in River Island but I couldn't honestly be that bothered about the colour and really did just want a dress in this style to wear to school so I just chose this one because I have a necklace that will go beautifully with the dress and can't wait to wear it tomorrow! The shoes were also from New Look and I just desperately needed new flats and so decided to buy them since I've noticed that there is a new trend coming in of stripes and such and so thought they would be appropriate and they are also practical which makes a change. I think my boyfriend was awfully impressed to be honest!

My Fashionably boring day....

I've had a fairly boring day sadly, I spent last night up again, because I couldn't sleep, my school would love it since all my work will be in on time at this rate. I started the dress... it's not going well, it's a McCalls pattern, and looks lovely and is going well, only I've to match the check up, and it's just a very fiddly pattern! However! I will be making this jacket next, and I'm so excited! These patterns were my mothers, since she used to make herself clothes as well, but these 4 I love, and I really want to make the YSL and Ralph Lauren jackets, but in really fun patterns or something!

I've also got these shirts to use to design with, I think I'm going to use the one with the black strip down the front and the black cuffs, but I love these Shirts! I'm going to obviously do my design on the front, and I'm going to change a couple of the buttons to coloured ones I think. The shirt is top secret for now as well as the dress! On the days of the Interviews I'm going to do it so my blog will post pictures then! Keep it a little bit exciting for you as well!  

Today I've been to Waitrose and not done much else, but here's what I wore, I wore a black jumper from Riverisland, that I got for Christmas, I think the Squirrel is ever so cute and the jumpers actually really nice! I've brought so much stuff from RiverIsland, I'm waiting on 2 hats and a Dress, but I think the dress might go back, I'm not sure yet! Need to stop being an Impulse buyer! The jacket is also from RiverIsland, and my New Look jeans and Dorothy Perkins zip boots. There's also another picture I found on my Camera and I'm not sure if you've seen it before or not, but I thought you may aswell!

On the Fifth day of Christmas....

I Love these bags, I don't mean this particular only one, though this is one of my favorites I've seen so far. But satchels, I just suddenly love, despite having hated them during primary school, perhaps cause it was a red colour with a big yellow logo on it for the school... But I think they are so sophisticated and practical, but almost fun in a way that you expect some people to have them and not others i.e. business people... I just love them! This one is from Topshop for £50.00

Today was pretty great! So as you know I got accepted into IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) which I'm really proud of since I didn't really think I'd get accepted in as my blog isn't AS fashion orientated as some of the others are and that I don't update enough sometimes. But I got in despite and this did make my day a good start. I then went shopping with my mum and got to dress up a little, which every girl loves doing! I got a white blouse, a new coat which you can see in the slideshow (the navy one) and a white blouse, a ring, and some new underwear (Cause every girl loves some good underwear!) We also then went out to lunch, which wasn't as good as what it used to be when we went to the place, we've said this the last few times that we've gone.... and yet we still go?!

I've then sat and up-dated my blog, as you can tell, and I've had a good old look at some magazines, and attempted to sort out my room... I think it's messier than when I started? Got to love tidying occasionally. I've also rang my friend who is at her sisters in New Castle and organised to go to the beach on Friday, so there should be some good photo's from then hopefully since I also got some batteries for my decent camera! 

I still can't quite believe that Kate Moss is leaving Topshop though, I dislike that thought! However I will so be getting an item from her last collection, a ring or something I think. Since I think the clothes are a little expensive for my student budget sadly, but maybe for Christmas! I'm really looking forward to seeing what Chloe Green can do though! I loveee! upcoming Designers! 

I also managed the very top Slideshow on Slideroll, and I'm quite impressed with myself, although our windows do need a good clean, which I managed to not notice till I'd taken the pictures which is a little annoying. But I'll be wearing that coat when I go to the beach so hopefully I'll get some really nice pictures of it then!

Also! A little bit of news for you, I am trying to line up some interviews with up coming designers, or owners of businesses who sell vintage clothing. I thought that might be a little bit interesting and different! The competition will close on the 19th, so expect the week of interviews to be up not far after that! But I'll try to keep you posted on how that is going, but so far I've had some good response!

News Flash! Kate Moss to leave Topshop!

Kate Moss's last collection!

I saw this today on a magazine, and investigated! Surely this isn't the beginning of the end for Kate Moss? I do hope not! I do quite adore her!

According to sources Kate Moss is to be given the boot by Sir Philip. Rumors are that Chloe Green will be replacing her, due to Moss's energy and enthusiasm for the collection going, and thus the collection comes out twice a year instead of 6 times a year as it previously did as her team runs out of idea's for new clothing and the luster for them are gone as they are unimaginative and highly price and apparently not that well made. I think this will be a sad day since I've always found something I like in the collection but couldn't afford. However since this will be the last collection I will be buying something to remember our darling Kate by. 

I do look forward to however Chloe Green taking over, I think it will be interesting to see how she will be perceived as Sir Philip's daughter and how her design skills really will contend. She does so far seem a driven young lady who knows what she wants. Will Topshop loose the new clientele that it had gained? And will his daughters collection be as good as daddy wants?

 Pictures from Kate's last collection. Have her designs become less dramatic compared to the Drama that we are used to, that comes with the British rock styled model? or will we follow Kate no matter where she goes? I certainly hope that someone allows her to carry on designing since I always thought that they were a little different and very much her own style which people can't help but adore. I know that Chloe has a lot to prove though, after having Kate design for Topshop.

Rainy Thursday

So it's rained the entire day. Again! which is endlessly frustrating! and it was cold and I've no other jumpers really except my green or grey one, and for some reason the idea of wearing my coat didn't occur to me, which is appalling I think. I also wore my summer dress cause I'm putting them all in the loft and felt the need to wear it one last time! So hopefully soon I'll be able to see what I do and don't have... I've the feeling I lack a lot. But least tomorrow I can go to town and get some sensible pixie boots, and pick up my dry cleaning and my stuff from Boots, and I'm going swimming with my friend after our shop too! I can also sort my discount card out so the day will hopefully be quite a good and productive one, a little like today except the afternoon was quite unproductive again. But at least I'm getting there, and my leisure card came through today, so hopefully I can join the gym soon and also hopefully my Jeans will come too! Hopefully tomorrow, but I doubt it will come that soon.
But I also desperately need an umbrella, cause I got soaked in the small distance from my house to school and I wasn't pleased, I really am like a cat, I HATE the rain! I've also had far too much coffee again and am feeling that work buzz starting to come on again, but I refuse to do anything with it at this time of night.
So here's what I wore today, my favorite Topshop shoes (: The dress is from RI and the necklace too, not that you can see it.

I'm hoping to soon get some batteries for my better camera cause the pictures will look far better and i'll be able to show you stuff far better aswell. But for now this will have to do, I'm also hoping to do some Thrift Store shopping tomorrow, not that Lynn will have anything but you've got to try haven't you?
